Pictorial Portmeirion

"Places don't change, only people" said Dutton. Well that's not technically correct, as places do change, nowhere remains the same for very long, not even the Village! Here are very recent pictures of White Horses cottage in Portmeirion.

The cottage has recently been completely refurbished inside and out, including the Camera Obscura. What's more a plaque has been added to the end wall dedicated to Patrick McGoohan 1928 - 2009. As Patrick McGoohan and his family stayed in White Horses in September 1966 during the filming of the Prisoner. Which I am sure will please Catherine McGoohan, Patrick's eldest daughter, who is a guest at this years 'Prisoner' Convention held at Portmeirion this weekend.

What's more a sea defence wall has been built. This in order to try and stop White Horses from being flooded each year from high tides.
There is a set of steps which take people over the wall to continue their walk along the sea wall.
Like the changes to the Village or not, most certainly Portmeirion has been changing, and indeed evolving in recent years in many ways.
The pictures were sent to me by a good friend Christine B, who is attending 'the Prisoner' Convention.

Be seeing you
