    I don't know why fans of the original series turned away from the 2009 production, many never gave it a fair chance, having switched off after only thirty minutes, ten minutes even. So they won't know what it's all about! After all the 2009 production has all the main elements of the original series, a man resigns his job, the taxis are all the same, there's a map of the village. The Prisoner upon arriving in the village tries to escape by taxi. Everyone is still a number. The Prisoner's number is still Six, 'Rover' is still the village guardian. A baldheaded Butler serves Two, We don't know where the village is. Or why the Prisoner has been brought there, or anyone else for that matter, and so on, but all such elements of the original series have been reinvented, reinterpreted, and subtly done. I mean there's even a yellow nosed Caterham/Lotus Seven in the series! Sometimes I think fans expected a straightforward remake of the original series. But what would be the point in that?
