Many Happy Returns

A lone sailor survives many days afloat aboard his raft. Even though his strength has apparently given out, he still finds reserves of energy  which enables him to overpower two gun runners.
According to his log, the date was St. Patricks day, but even so, the subsequent long swim to shore, followed by a perillous climb up a chalk cliff face at Beachy Head, are a lot for the viewer to swallow. Yet the most implausable feature of this particular episode, perhaps comes at the end. The Prisoner sets out to cover by plane, a search of some 74,000 square miles in order to find the location of the village. Of course, he gets there in only a short while, although it is a wonder that he is not still searching today.
Be seeing you
