Thought For The Day

I have often wounder why it is, that during the evening in The Schizoid Man, that having been asked by two burly men for the password, which No.6 gives as "Gemini," it is said to be the wrong password, and is duly attacked by the two men. But No.6 didn't give the wrong password, he gave the correct password "Gemini." No.2 gave No.6 that password himself, so that he will be able to distinguish between the two Six's. So why did the two men say it was the wrong password? Ah, perhaps they thought the man was No.12-Curtis, in which case he should have given the password "Schizoid man." Why should the two men think the man in the dark blazer with off-white piping was No.12-Curtis? Well originally both No.6's were to wear the same style of blazer, dark with off-white piping. But it was thought at time, that to have both No.6's wearing the same coloured blazer would be too confusing for the television audience of the day. Personally I think they should have kept with the original idea, and not to have No.12-Curtis wearing a cream blazer with black piping. It's far too easy for the television viewer to distinguish between the two. And besides the viewer would not be sure which Six was left at the end, until No.2 spoke his line "Susan died a year ago Number Six."
