Its Inexplicable

Inexplicable? Yes, in the way that only the armed security guards are killed in that fire-fight of Fall Out, when everyone else got out of the cavern alive! What's more, someone took the time to place all the dead security guards on or around the dais! Plus, why isn't the cavern filled with flames instead of steam as the rocket blasts off out of it's silo?

  1. I guess you're referring to the continuity aspect of all this? But it made me think that perhaps only the armed security guards are killed in order to be suggestive of the proverbial, "All they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." And their bodies are collected around the dais to indicate they died in service (or sacrifice) to No.1 (not No.6)? Just a thought.

As for the lack of flames - beats me! But I like your blog.

    1. Hello Sam,
Welcome to my Prisoner blog, and I’m no end pleased you like it.
Yes that’s right, but that’s a good point about those who “All they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” The security guards certainly died for the cause, for No.1? As for No.6 being No.1, I think he would have been all the weaker for having rid himself of his evil self! I guess they were simply unable to create the flame effect emitting from the rockets exhausts.
I will be in touch again later in the day, as I reply to your other comments, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

  2. Hello to you David!
I'm thrilled to be able to have a conversation with you. I wasn't sure you'd get notifications about my comments, seeing as they were made on posts from years ago.

I have 'bookmarked' each post I commented on, so I can check back to see if you've replied. This is my first time checking-in, so I'm really pleased to see your message!

    1. A very good afternoon to you Sam,
Comments on my blog always come through to my mailbox, that way I never miss one and how long ago they were posted makes no difference, and I can see there is a second of the day from you, which I shall attend to in a few moments.
When it comes to talking about the Prisoner, please do comment as you feel fit on blog entries, but in case you wish to chat about the series by more private means, then here is my email address
stimpyfor6@msn.com but there is absolutely no pressure to do so.
Patrick McGoohan made a prisoner of me with The Prisoner when I was aged 12 years, and it has remained with me all my life so far, and I really cannot see that changing now!
      Enjoy your weekend my friend.
      my very best wishes
      David

  3. It's very kind of you to offer e-mail correspondence - thank you. I certainly hoped we might strike up an on-going conversation regarding all things Prisoner, so that's great. It might help us both, as writing in these little boxes is a bit awkward when in comes to proof-reading the nonsense I type each time! But then again, a shame not to speak more publicly in hopes of stimulating others to join in?

    1. Hallo again Sam. The e-mail correspondence is there as a further option should you wish it, also I have something else regarding the Prisoner you may well be interested in, which can be sent only via email not in a blog comment. But I will go into that later in the month, as I should not wish to overwhelm you with material. And certainly we can continue our ongoing deliberations into the Prisoner either by e-mail or more publically in blog comments as we are enjoying. As it happens my blog is read by enthusiast of the Prisoner all over the world, and at times people do from time to time join in with conversations.

      David
