Postcard From The Village

This is Chantry Cottage, built in 1933, it was intended as an artist studio for the English artist Augustus John. But John didn't want it!

This is an early picture taken at Portmeirion, you will observe that the Bristol Colonnade {Bandstand} has yet to be constructed. There is no Chantry Row cottages, and also pre Unicorn Cottage, yet to be constructed to the left of Chantry.
