Thought For The Day

There are many aspects to the Prisoner, including that of pornography - those pictures of semi-naked girls pasted onto a cabin wall aboard the gun-runners boat in Many Happy Returns, and I wonder who was behind those pictures, having had them pasted into the scene? The Set Dresser obviously, and the Set Dresser working on the Prisoner was Kenneth Bridgeman. It's a wonder McGoohan didn't order the removal of those pictures, but perhaps he thought the television viewer would not notice - he was wrong!

WHY? I asked my computer that one day, it didn't blow up, it simply said no result was found, and also I put the question to the Internet, there were pages and pages of results. But machines often have a mind all their own, like the time during It's Your Funeral when the the machines used to amass the daily prognosis report on No.6, were twice programmed for a percental appraisal of their own efficiences, to establish the percentage of right and wrong. Each time they refused to give back the requested information. 'Refused, how?' Simply be not returning the data to them! Well I've never had a machine behave like that, nor have they yet demanded their own Trade Union. But I did have an all-in-one, printer, scanner, copier which one day gave me the message that certain componants were about to break down, and do you know, one day soon after that.....they did! It almost felt like a scene from It's Your Funeral, here I had a machine which had told me that in a few days it would no longer work! I'm waiting for the day when my current all-in-one printer, scanner, copier will do the same!   Be seeing you.
