I've often wondered why it is, that No.2 in The Chimes of Big Ben, is glad that No.6 is in the Village. 'I am glad you are here' No.2 tells the Prisoner.
Perhaps No.2 saw No.6 as being someone who is not of the usual Village ilk. But someone who could be challenge to him, maybe someone with whom he could strike up a rapport. Certainly No.2 seems to be enjoying hmself during The Chimes of Big Ben.
It might also be, that No.2 had prior knoweldge of No.6, and was glad to see No.6 in the Village simply for that reason.
