Actor George Baker Who Died Yesterday October 7th

This morning I opened my email in-box and read an email from an old friend informing me of the death of actor George Baker. Born in Varna, Bulgaria in April 1931, George died on October 7th 2011 aged 80 from pneumonia. Although appearing in the Prisoner episode Arrival as the new No.2, perhaps he is more famous for his television role in the Ruth Rendall mysteries character Inspector Wexford. He played another Inspector in an adaptation of Agatha Christie's At Bertram's Hotel with Joan Hickson in 1987. Amongst his many film roles The Intruder, Dambusters, and  The Ship That died of Shame all three in 1955.
A Hill In Korea 1956.
The Moon Raker 1958
On Her Majesty's secret Service 1968
A Warm December 1973
The Spy Who Loved Me 1977
The Canterville Ghost 1986
George Baker who died yesterday.

Here is one of lifes little coincidences, which appeared in a letter to The Times published today October 8th 2011.
