Thought For The Day

 The High Price Of Freedom

The episode Living In Harmony sees a Sheriff handing in both his badge and gun, not to mention the horse that also seems to have gone with the job, either that or his horse had gone lame somewhere back along the trail. Because we then see the Man With No Name carrying his saddle on his shoulder, no not a representation of the crucifiction as some fans would have you think, but as a man in the American Wild West, who would carry his saddle if losing his horse for whatever reason, until he could get another horse.
But a fair interpretation regarding the Man With No Names' saddle, that it is symbolic of the fact that he possesses the means of escape, if only for the want of a horse. But when such a horse is to be found in the town of Harmony, the price is proved to be extortionate at $5,000 and even more expensive, yet available. Such it would seem, is the price of freedom!

I'll be seeing you stranger.
