KAR 120C

In the Prisoner the Lotus Seven is projected as a car for the individual, in giving the driver the freedom of the open road. It seems to have a rebellious nature all of it's own, what's more it's the only 7 in the entire series of 'the Prisoner,' except there were two of them! Originally painted black as Lotus Cars demonstrator Patrick McGoohan had the car painted British Racing green with a yellow nose. In my single years I held the desire for such a car, but sadly the desire wore off, not because marriage suddenly loomed over the horizon, but because there were too many Lotus, later Caterhan Sevens about, especially painted in this livery. To me the car was no longer individualistic, and so my desire to own such a car discipated totally. Although in 1999 I was able to drive such a car, in London, into and out of the Underground park as seen in 'the Prisoner,' and along Buckingham Place as Patrick McGoohan had once done, that gave me a real buzz to have been able to do that as part of the filming for 'Village day.'
I'll be seeing you

  1. ...The Lotus 7 was my dream car too, David! Now I'm looking for a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe 1955! ;-)
Wish you a nice week end, Caroline

    1. Hello Caroline,

Lovely to hear from you. That's quite a change from the one to the other.

Only on friday did I purchase a BMW Isetta 300 {1960's}, more commonly known here in Great Britain as a 'Bubble car.' But I now have to admit that it is a diecast model which I've added to my fleet of models cars of THEPRIS6NER-09 series. The Prisoner's car in that series is a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, for your information, but not that there isn't a Caterham Seven lurking in the background of the underground car park of the Summakor building. How are you on THEPRIS6NER-09 series, did you take to it, or against it, declare yourself.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend
      Kind regards
      David

Never purchase the 2009 new serie, love too much Patrick McGoohan! Yesterday we watched the great episode of "Danger Man's The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove". Amazing!
Thank you, have a lovely afternoon too!
      Warm regards,
      Caroline

    3. Hello Lou,

The sun is shining, the sky is blue, and the temperature high, summer appears to have arrived at long last in Great Britain, after weeks and weeks of rain.

'The Unbiquitous Mr. Lovegrove,' an episode in which John Drake faces himself in a fight scene. It's a surreal episode, but not my favourite, that would be 'Don't nail him yet,' or 'Colony Three,' perhaps 'Not So Jolly Roger,' anyway one of those three.

      Have a very good day.
      Warm regards
      David
      Be seeing you
