He's breaking into the secret laboratory in the woods, by climbing down the air conditiong shaft during 'A B and C.' The question has often been asked, why was there no surveillance cameras in the laboratory? Perhaps more to the point might be, why did Number 6 change his socks half-way down that shaft?!

Like him Bruce Willis in the first "Die Hard" changed his undershirt from white to green while crawling through pipes and ducts. Looks a bit like the inside of the tower in Hitchock's "Vertigo". Perhaps that's why and he lost his sense of direction. ;-) - BCNU
