Caught On Camera

We know that Number 6 plays chess with Number 66 the ex-Admiral in 'Arrival,' and with the General during 'The Chimes of Big Ben.' But he is also seen playing chess with a citizen on the lawn of the Old People's Home during the his Daily Prognosis Report as ordered by an interim Number 2, the heir presumptive.
It is when you realise that the man wearing the black blazer sitting with his back to the camera, isn't Partick McGoohan, then the shot of McGoohan in the middle picture is merely for effect. I suppose the reason for the shot of McGooahn as Number 6, taken from 'Arrival' film footage, is merely to confirm that the guy sat there playing chess is Number 6. But for me the use of the shot of McGoohan actually spoils the short scene. I mean had Frank Maher and the guy playing a Village citizen been sitting in the same place as Number 6 and the Ex-Admiral in 'Arrival,' it would have worked better.
Be seeing you
