Village Observation

     Number 6 must have had previous experience of the shopkeeper-Number 12, or at least have known that this weasel of an individual was in actual fact a guardian, who would go running to Number 2 the moment number 6 left the General store.

    At the hospital during 'Arrival' Cobb apparently commits suicide by jumping through the window. The Prisoner takes the medical orderly’s word for this. However in the case of Number 73 having jumped out of the hospital window in an act of suicide, Number 6 rushes to the window and sees the body of the woman for himself, possibly a case of “once bitten, forever shy!”

    In ‘Arrival,’ Cobb was worried about the girl Number 9 as she was most upset at his funeral. Number 2 assures Cobb that Number 9 will be well taken care of. She must have been, as we do not see her again after this episode!

 Why should number 6 hide blank sheets of paper in the stone boat? Well obviously to achieve the result he got. To plant More doubt and suspicion in the mind of number 2, as he did with the Bizet records and the Tally Ho
newspaper with the word   circled with a question mark and of course the hand written note to ‘XO4’, Number
6 calling himself ‘D6.’ The simple asking of a request for the brass band to play, the obscure telephone call to
the head of psychiatrics, and that bizarre conversation with Number 14;
“…….I had a terrible night, insomnia, couldn’t sleep, so restless and there’s no point in lying in bed when you're
awake is there? So I got up, went out, had a long walk on the beach. Marvellous at that time of day,
invigorating, the air brisk and clear, the rain on your face, the wind in your cheeks….. don’t look now the
waiter's watching. Yes, it’s the only way. I’m so glad you agree with me.” Well that was enough, the poison had
been put in and that did for number 14!

Be seeing you

    Easy to see now where the coat-hangers came from, back on the beach in L.A.
