Caught On Camera
















  October 31st is Halloween a time for ghost stories, for trick and treat. Witches cast their spells, hubble bubble toil and trouble, eye of newt, toe of frog, and wing of bat........... So who said that the good citizens do not celebrate festivals like Halloween in the Village?
    If the viewer looks very carefully at the next picture, you will see a man wearing the head mask of a lizard, or then again might it not be Godzilla?!

      Hello Arno,

      'Halloween' 'Freddy Kruger,' it's all the same, scary films, frightening, horror films. They are all well and good, being very visual. But I prefer the terrors of the mind, listening to ghost stories on the radio, or via audio cassette, and let the mind conjour up the terrors of the ghost story.
      On Halloween, or should I say All Hallows Eve, Morag and I will be watching M.R. James ghost story 'Lost Hearts.' Have you ever seen it, or do you know the story?

    No, David. I don't know this film, will have a look. As I wrote to you yesterday my above entry is slightly misleading. Because of the masks here I meant in fact Michael Myers of the "Halloween".

    I wouldn't say it's all the same. Perhaps John Carpenter's original "Halloween" is one of the best cinematic works ever. The other guy being from "A Nightmare On Elm Street" which I think has seen even more serialisation than "Halloween". Most of them clearly of inferior quality. - BCNU!

      Hello Arno,

      You can watch 'Lost Hearts' on Youtube, I thoroughly recommend it, scary or what? It was produced by the BBC in the ealry 1970's.

      I have never seen any of the 'Halloween' films, they have never appealed to me, although I do like horror films. I have a modest collection of horror story anthologies, ghost stories, and tales of terror, the macabre etc.
