    In the final scenes of 'The General' Number 6 diverts Number 2's attention from his suspicions about Number 12 by saying that there is a question the General cannot answer.
     The General has difficulty with the question, and begins to short ciruit. The Professor tries to shut the General off, but puts his own life in danger in the attempt. The question is, does Number 12 try to save the Professor's life, or is it an act of suicide, bearing in mind Number 2's suspicions about Number 12?
