What would it mean to leave the Village? No.2 is permitted to leave the Village. As are Cobb, the Colonel, Fotheringay, Nadia, and are trusted not to speak of the Village. But what of someone who was born of the Village? Someone who has no knowledge of the outside world, which clearly must have happened after the evacuation of the Village in 'Fall Out,' and for whom the outside world must be a very frightening place. And that in itself bodes the question, after the evacuation, how did the once Village Administration contain all those people who had been taken to the Village and knew of it's existance? They would need somewhere to put all these people, a Village perhaps!
