Thought For The Day

A friend of mine suggested in an email, a thought for the day, in that we know Number 6 didn't take to being numbered and refused to wear his numbered badge. "I am not a number" he shouted. However he's happy enough to use numbers in "Many Happy Returns", reciting the registration number and even the engine number of the Lotus, to try to prove he once owned the vehicle.  Hardly "rebelling against the numbers" in this case!
But there's more to it than that, because Number 6 in a former life was numbered ZM73, he didn't seem to mind about that. And even in the Village he did at times, accept his number, and was happy to wear the badge when he thought it might aid his escape in 'The Schizoid Man.' He even admitted to Nadia during 'the Chimes of Big Ben' that he is Number 6. He even used locker 6 in the gymnasium in 'It's Your Funeral.'
However having said that, Number 6 did tell the Judge in 'Once Upon A Time' that he was rebelling against the figures! Perhaps be became bored working in a Bank!
