Thought For The Day

According to an interim No.2 of 'It's Your Funeral,' the Observers do see and hear everything. Somehow I doubt very much that statement. After all there are only 7, oh there's that number again, 7 Observers in the whole of the Control Room!
Two of the Observers are sitting on a steel see-saw device. Are they mad? It's certainly surreal. But do not forget that they are clever, damned clever. The duration time for anyone sat watching a monitor, is twenty minutes. After that the Observer begins to loose concentration, and their attention to what he or she is seeing on the screen decreases. So every twenty minutes the Observer should take a break.
However, for the two Observers sat on either end of the see-saw, the up and down, round and round motion of the see-saw helps prolong the Observers attention span.

Be seeing you

  1. Dammit, the magnificent 7 again! Regarding the hear-and-see-all aspect of the observers, of course nobody would be able to keep his/her concentration at 100% during the ordinary working time. Thus, we must assume everything, talks as well as phone calls (no e-mails then), is recorded and, if needed, scanned for suspicious words. - BCNU!

    1. Hello Arno,

Yes, that magic lucky number 7, I wonder if Jana knows about it? I expect she does, another one for her list!

I think you have the right of it, after all microphones were all over the Village, and they wouldn't have time to listen to everything that everyone said, that would be an impossibility. Also there must be some Village Citizens who abide by the rules, who are no trouble whatsoever. Peoeple who live happily in the Village, they would not need to be under constant surveillance, would they?

      Very kind regards
      David
