I wonder how Alison-No.24 did in the photographic competition of the Village Festival? Somehow I don't think a polaroid study of No.6 would do much for No.24's chances! But with the Village Festival there lies another aspect of Village life we do not see. But we can imagine, jam making, cake baking, side stalls of coconut shys, hook a duck and win a prize, hoop-la. Tombola, bric-brac stalls, a refreshment tent, a Punch and Judy show, and generally the kind of things one would see at an annual Village fete.
