Teabreak Teaser
Do you think the students of Speedlearn will miss the Professor, together with the fact that there would be no further lectures? Or was the end of 'The General,' not the end of Speedlearn?
Rebuilding the "General" may have been considered too expensive, and no remote control access to computers then. Perhaps the development of the speedlearn programme was a stand-alone achivement, with no standard software at hand, thus it would have been even more cost-intensive. Regarding its proposed goals it's been a failure. I think it was canceled. - BCNU!
I too think Speedlearn was cancelled, and for similar reasons you gave. But it seems that parts of the General were retrievable, because parts of the General can be seen working in the Cipher Room in 'Hammer Into Anvil,' and when the daily prognosis report was being gathered in 'It's Your Funeral.'

Assuming it's actually one and the same computer, right. - BCNU!
ReplyDeleteHello Arno,
DeleteWell that's right. But they do look like componants from the General. Unless they were spare componants for the General!
Very kind regards
