The Therapy Zone

Whatever Happened to?
Here in the therapy zone we continue the series about whatever happened to.........?
No.2 of ‘Checkmate’ left the service and went on to become a successful writer, writing adventure novels, following the adventures of the fictional character of Mark Caine, who bears an uncanny resemblance to that of the author. This in both looks, character, manner, style and personality. Who travelled the world to both International and exotic locations as part of the research for his novels, and frequently getting embroiled in adventure stories featuring glamorous women, menacing villains, political turmoil and espionage intrigue.
The Colonel pictured here from ‘Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling’ left the Village and turning his back on the department, disappeared and went on to become a country doctor. Although there is a delicate twist with this particular subject, because the body once belonging to the Colonel, though perhaps not to his liking at the time, housed the mind of Doctor Jacob Seltzman.
The next subject has proved to be a very different kettle of fish indeed, in not so what happened to....... but where was he recruited from? Because the village had to recruit it's chief administrator-No.2 from somewhere, and this man's background made him the perfect candidate for the position of No.2
The man pictured in the above photograph is one Colonel Ross of Military Intelligence, MI5 MI6 MI9 MIX MIZ and any other MI department which I may have missed. Colonel Ross was the direct superior of agent Harry Palmer, who was insubordinate, insolent, a trickster with possible criminal tendencies. So having dealt with the likes of Harry Palmer, No.6 should be no problem for Colonel Ross, a polite man, polite but aloof. He can be seen here in the following photograph with the Prisoner-No.6 on the morning of his arrival here in the Village.

The butler must be a student of chess, not only does he stand upon the stone bandstand following the moves of the human chess match upon his own board. But later as No.6 and the Rook-No.53 sit watching another human chess match, the Butler stands upon the bandstand following that match as well! And don't forget it is the Butler who returns the white Queens pawn back on the chessboard at the end. This action had some believing that the Butler was in fact No.1.

If you have ever wondered what happens to No.2 after his or her term of office, well this particular No.2 of The Schizoid Man went on to work for, and ended up on the board of  "Freeman, Pelham & Dawson Ltd - Marine Engineers - Incorporating - Electronic Developments & Navigational Aids" of ‘The Man Who Haunted Himself.’
While No.2 of The Girl Who Was Death and the President of Fall Out having left the Village turned to the Church The very reverend Bishop Crick who address a meeting of the "People's Lobby" an anti-nuclear movement who wants the world to see what a single nuclear war head can do by exploding it at Holy Loch Submarine base in Scotland, in order that the world can see what the destruction one nuclear war head can create. Bishop Crick is also against nuclear weapons, and speaks out against the government and the so called nuclear deterrent from his pulpit saying "Enough, is enough, is enough” in ‘Who Dares Wins.’

Be seeing you
