60 Second Interview With The Colonel

No.113: “Well Colonel....”

Colonel: “Not really, I'm a bit confused.”
    “Why's that then?”
“I’m not myself today. Look what do you want?”
“An interview would be nice, sixty seconds is all it takes.”
“Look, it’s not a very good time at the moment, besides I've nothing to say, nothing.”
“I haven't asked you anything yet.”
“But you want to ask me why I resigned. Well I haven’t done it yet. I was going to resign this morning, but I suddenly don’t feel up to it.”

“Why should you want to do that Colonel?”
    “Who?”
    “My, you are confused!”
    “That’s because I’m not the Colonel, I’m……”
    “Yes?”
“Never mind, besides your sixty seconds is up. Good day to you!”

And so it was that the door to No.1 Buckingham Place was smartly slammed in our faces, leaving me and my photographic colleague standing outside in the cold on the doorstep. As we wee leaving a woman stood knocking on the front door of the house, one one three b took a photograph of her as I tried to get a word from her, but she quickly disappeared inside. Then we retired to the pub just around the corner - just like any good journalist would.
