It All Depends On Whose Side You're On!

In ‘Arrival’ No.2 suggests that what they do in the Village, depends upon which side you are on, and No.6 tells him that he’s on “our side.” Which suggests that the Prisoner knows all the time which side has incarcerated him in the Village. Well towards the end of ‘The Chimes of Big Ben,’ there can be little doubt about that, if not, then both the Colonel and Fotheringay are traitors! But then that would suggest that the Village is somewhere behind the Iron curtain, which we know it isn’t. Because we know, as does the Prisoner, that the Village is somewhere on the coast of Morocco, south west of Portugal and Spain.
Both the Colonel and Fotheringay went willingly to the Village in order to play their parts in the attempt to try and extract the reason behind the Prisoner’s resignation. But then Fotheringay must return to London before any embarrassing questions are asked. What embarrassing questions might be asked of Fotheringay, unless he’s away from the department without permission. Perhaps once upon a time Fotheringay was a prisoner in the Village!
But if the Village is run by the Prisoner’s own people, then the Village is a British installation. Then why should such an installation like the Village be on foreign soil in either Morocco, Portugal, or Spain? Countries don't just do that. Well in more recent times the American have Guantanamo bay detention camp which is physically in Cuba! Prisoners there are taken blindfolded, and have no idea where they are!

Be seeing you
