Thought For The Day
No.6 hid an envelope in the Stoneboat. No.'s 2 and 14 retrieved that envelope, and took it back to the Green Dome. I wonder what it was No.2 thought he would find in that envelope? What was it he thought would be written on those blank sheets of paper? Whatever it was he didn't want No.14 to see. "That's all Fourteen, you can go." So when No.2 removed the sheets of paper from the envelope only to find them blank, he was completely confused. Something must have been written on them, words figures. He had two laboratory technicians carry out every test in the book, but at the end of the day those blank sheets of paper were just that. So what was it No.2 thought might have been written on those sheets of paper? A report on his own mental health perhaps, written by the Head of psychiatrics!
