It must have been quite incomprehensible for Janet Portland, difficult to deal with, the fact that her fiances mind had been planted in another man's body. But if she could come to terms with that, then the Prisoner having explained what had happened to him, where he had been for the past year, would be something of a doddle to understand. Well I can't imagine the Prisoner didn't tell Janet about what had happened, his resignation, abduction, and The Village. After all Janet would have had questions, wanting to know things. And after her fiance had disappeared a second time, then at least Janet would have something to face her father, Sir Charles, with, telling him that her fiance is probably back in The Village!
