The Long And The Straight Of It

At the commencement of ‘the Prisoner’ we see a long straight road, or what looks to be a disused runway {in truth the Santa Pod raceway at Poddington}. Along that long straight road from out of the distance, out of the wilderness, hurtles a green, yellow nosed Lotus Seven. Behind the wheel the Prisoner, his face set in a grimace. It’s a long road, and the Prisoner is resigned to the inevitable, that eventually leads to his freedom from a job he no longer wanted to do. ‘The Arrival’ is the commencement of the process, and ‘Fall Out,’{there having been a falling out between friends} provides at least his physical freedom, if not in his mind, from The Village.

Be seeing you
