Where can I buy one of these?
ReplyDeleteHello Mike,
DeleteGood to hear from you, and thank you for your enquiry.
You can try the following website.
http://www.walters-oxford.co.uk/oxford-college-scarves.html
There are other such websites, but this is the best of them.
I have never actually found a scarf absolutley identical to the one worn by Number 2 in 'the Prisoner.'
Best regards

Check the scarf by a policeman in Gatwick yesterday https://twitter.com/brightonsnapper/status/1075762868791009280
DeleteHello Alejandro,
DeleteThank you for the link, that was well spotted by Eddie Mitchell re: the Brightonsnapper. it looks very much like Village agents are everywhere! A former Number 2......a Policeman? What is required is an electronic defence system as created by the Rook. Failing that the electronic Beam as operated in 'Hammer Into Anvil!'
Merry Christmas
David
I found this site where you can create your own college scarf, choosing from a selection of patterns and colours. Using pattern 1, I think you could get very close indeed.

Hello Sarah,
DeleteThank you for your taking time to comment, I've made a note of that website myself.
Kind regards

I wish someone would make or organise a bulk order with Ryder Amies or something even closer to the original, as each one would cost a fraction of the £35 price for a single.
DeleteHello,
DeleteThat is certainly an idea, but I've no idea of anyone who would be prepared to take on such a business.
I have to say that the wearing of such a scarf as worn by Number 2, has in the past couple of years, become very popular. That begs the question as to why? The wearing of such a scarf in The Village represents authority, seeing as its only worn by Number 2! And yet there appeared to be a good number of people wearing such scarves at last year's Prisoner Convention than not. Suggesting that the character of Number 2, has become more popular than that of Number 6!
Best regards
David
