Thought For The Day

In ‘The Chimes of Big Ben,’ Nadia said to Number 2 that he was right about Number 6. To which Number 2 replies “I told you.” Told who, Nadia? If so, how did Number 2 tell her, and when?
On the outset of ‘Once Upon A Time,’ Number 2 gets his instructions from Number 1 via telephone. We know this because Number 2 vents his displeasure at Number 1 for having been brought to The Village for a third time. But during ‘The Chimes of Big Ben’ Number 2 doesn’t speak to Number 1 at all, he only deals with Nadia. So the question is, was this plan concocted outside The Village? And had Nadia already been in The Village before the commencement of ‘The Chimes of Big Ben?’ If she was, all that had to be done was to put Nadia in the helicopter {she may not have been unconscious} at some other point, around The Village. Then the helicopter having taken off, would fly wide of The Village, before re-approaching to finally land on the triangular lawn by the sea wall. It is imaginable that Nadia originally arrived in The Village at the same time as the Colonel and Fotheringay with the plan in mind. Who then presented it to Number 2, who at that point expressed his opinion that they were using the wrong approach. Ah, but that’s what he told Number 2 in ‘Once Upon A Time,’ so perhaps Number 2 had spoken to Number 1 prior to ‘The Chimes of Big Ben’ after all! However all we can go on is what we see on the screen and hear. And it was that which led me to thinking perhaps Nadia had arrived in The Village sometime prior to ‘The Chimes of Big Ben.’

Be seeing you
