All That power!
All that power at Number 2’s disposal, and
yet at the end there he was, all alone! The emphasis being on power, because Number 2 uses that power
as he wishes to possess the minds of the citizens in ‘A Change of Mind.’ And
yet at the end is this Number 2 any better off than that of his predecessor of ‘Hammer
Into Anvil’ who had been broken by Number 6? Number 2 had been denounced by
Number 86 as being unmutual, and was duly marched through The Village by the
people chanting “Unmutual, unmutual, unmutual.” Both Number 2’s had failed, and
at the end were powerless to do anything about it!
