Number 6 is still out there, aboard his
sea-going raft, somewhere in the Atlantic,
in all probability in the Bay
of Biscay by
this time. He’s now been at sea for 13 days and 12 nights. Tiredness and
exhaustion must beginning to set in. What’s more he’ll be cold and wet, without
a mouthful of hot food or drink that whole time. Just cold corned beef, baked
beans, and pineapple, eaten straight from the tins, and cold water to drink.
Only another 11 days to go, and he’ll be back in London, with any luck!
