Why did Curtis wear the No.6 badge, when
that was out of Character with Number 6?
I think the answer to this can be found in "You've changed things, little things". Curtis wearing the badge is on the Village's "to do" list along with moles, a moustache, hair colour, left-handedness, magazines, gilt ornaments replaced by silver, the degree to which a person likes flapjacks etc. !
Wearing the badge is one of the bigger little things and might be one of the more offensive changes in the eyes of Number 6!
Hello ZM72, Good to hear from you. I trust you are well. "You've changed things, little things," yes that's good, very good indeed. I had not considered the wearing of the number 6 badge possibly being more of an offence to Number 6. After all there had to be a reason why Curtis is wearing the badge, not simply that it had been forgotten that Number 6 doesn't wear his numbered badge. That I suppose would be too simple!
