The Stone Boat is nothing more than a folly
really. And yet not only does she fit in with The Village, because it too could
be described as a folly, but she’s also good in any weather. Apparently the
ex-Admiral has sailed her many a time. In fact you could, in your imagination,
go anywhere aboard her without ever leaving The Village!
On occasion the Stone Boat is decked out
with bunting as during the election period of ‘Free for All.’ And at times
sports a black mainsail. She does have a name, the Amis Reunis. However you
never see her name in close-up. As for the Stone Boat, well in naval terms she
would be more than just a folly, she would actually serve a purpose.
