The Colonel in ‘Many Happy Returns’ once
told Number 6 regarding his report, that the dice are heavily loaded in his
favour. In truth the dice are always loaded in Number 2’s favour, meaning that
an outcome highly probable, or to predetermine a result, as in the result of
the local election in ‘Free For All’ for example. And yet on occasion Number 6
is able to “turn the tables” on Number 2, as in ‘The Chimes of Big Ben,’ ‘The
General, ‘It’s Your Funeral,’ and ‘A Change of Mind.’
