At The Convention!
I have
seen a large number of photographs taken at this year’s Prisoner Convention
held at Portmeirion in April. And one thing soon became apparent, Number 2
seems to be coming a very popular character with certain Conventioneers.
Because a number of people at this year’s Prisoner Convention were seen to be
wearing the “old school scarf” as worn by Number 2 in ‘the Prisoner’ series, more
than in past years. A friend of mine, of many years standing, telephoned me
recently, and he talked of this years Convention, the first he had attended for
two or three years. His motivation for doing so, was special guest Denise Buckley.
He told me that he is going to get a Number 2 scarf made up for himself! The question
I found myself asking is, why is it that the character Number 2 is suddenly appearing
to become more popular than Number 6 amongst Conventioneers? Are some turning
away from the light of Number 6, and into the darkness of 2?
Isn't it that the villain characters are always more interesting than the heros? - BCNU!
ReplyDeleteHallo arno,
DeleteWell that's what they say, but it might have more to do with the person wanting to play the role of Number 2, rather than the character!
As for Number 2, no matter how much we think we know aboiut Number 6, we know even less about any of Number 2's!
Best regards
