    Number 2 told Madam Professor that what Number 6 wants is what we all want ultimately.......to escape! Did Number 2 once escape, only to be brought back to The Village for a second term in office, this despite the question of his health? Or had he been promoted to the position of Number 2 from administration? So that after his first term in office went so badly wrong, he was reduced back into administration, only later to be re-deployed as Number 2 for a second term in order to oversee the educational experiment of Speedlearn. Perhaps seeing that this second term in office didn’t involve Number 6, it might have been thought that this Number 2 couldn’t get things wrong a second time. And perhaps he wouldn’t have done, had Number 6 not got himself involved!
