   In ‘A B And C,’ No.6 and No.14 are seen chatting at a table on the lawn of the Old People’s Home. It’s a conversation in which Number 14 used the phrase “We all have to make mistakes, sometimes we have to,” what’s more she sounded as though she had made the mistake, and was righting that mistake. Perhaps by not telling No.2 that No.6, while lying on the operating table, had opened his eyes and seen her. But I digress. That first “have to” might in itself be a mistake, as it would be better said “We all make mistakes, sometimes we have to,” which of course is the way No.14 said it when she was putting words into B’s mouth. The question is, when No.14 used that phrase in No.6’s dream, was it by way of recognition in order to confirm No.6’s already growing suspicions about ‘B’ and thereby giving the game away quite deliberately? Because having heard ‘B’ say that phrase “We all make mistakes, sometimes we have to,” he asked her if she had the feeling she was being manipulated? And yet on the other hand, “We all make mistakes, sometimes we have to,” might have been one of No.14’s favourite phrases which she used quite a lot. That would account for the clenched fist, the look of “Oh no, what have I done?” about her at the end of ‘B’s’ dream, realizing the mistake was hers.
   So either No.14 had been trying to help No.6, or in trying to force the issue by putting words into B’s mouth, she caused this second setback herself, depending on how you look at it.
