Number
39 is busy conducting word association tests with Number 6 in ‘Checkmate. We
first saw her in ‘Dance of The Dead’ assisting two medics in Number 6’s cottage
as the doctor-Number 40 is about to conduct an experiment with Number 6. One
can imagine Number 39 working much closer with that doctor as she assists him
with his experiments with Dutton. Now in ‘Checkmate’ she works with another
doctor-Number 23. It must have seemed all the same to her as the two doctors
are very much the same, like working for the one doctor judging by their
attitude regarding human experimentation and complete disregard for human life.
And she is probably no better than either of those two!
