So
this is the cloakroom, somewhere to hang up your coat and leave your hat. But
it’s typical of that Number 6 to make himself to be more important than anyone
else. To have his suit of clothes hanging on a coat hanger isn’t good enough
for him, oh no, he’s got to have his clothes dressing an effigy of himself! And
why are all those empty coat hangers swinging they way they do? It might be
that the robes worn by the delegates of the Assembly once hung from them,
before they went into session. Patrick McGoohan once said the answer to ‘the
Prisoner’ could be found in a coat hanger, or words to that effect. A coat
hanger picked up off the beach at Long Island , obviously a prop for McGoohan to pick up!
