    Number nothing, nought, zero, is that higher or lower to Number 1? Only in cards the Ace, the Number 1 can be a high card or a low one. If it’s high it’s above a King, if low it is subservient to 2. In Navel terms Number 2 is second in command to the Captain of a ship, a 1st lieutenant, 1^st officer, or Number 1. As for zero in The Village, there is no number nothing just as there is no number 7, both are mere digits that accompany other digits to make a double digit number. 7 and 0 cannot exist in The Village alone.
