    According to The Prisoner’s film librarian Tony Sloman The General was produced before A B and C, which means that when Colin Gordon’s Number 2 was brought to the village, his primary concern was not Number 6. Although the same could be said of Number 2 in both Checkmate and Hammer Into Anvil as in both those episodes its Number 6 who involves himself, as he does in The General. As for A B and C Number 2 treats Number 6 more like a guinea pig, in that he allows Number 14 to prove her newly developed wonder drug on Number 6.
