I had occasion this morning to carry out a
little research for my latest Prisoner based manuscript and chanced upon this
website, see link below.
I was shocked to see the pictures of the ‘Breda,’
formally ‘Dab II,’ of how a once proud ‘Little Ship’ which helped evacuate
British soldiers from the beaches of Dunkirk in June 1940 has fallen into
disrepair. I can only hope this vessel, which appeared in two episodes of ‘the Prisoner’
‘Many Happy Returns,’ and named M. S. Polotska in ‘Checkmate’
can be fully refitted in time to once more make
her a proud ‘Little Ship.’
