Hello. Well here we are in the Italianate Village of Portmeirion. As you can see the central piazza is not quite as many people know it to be today, or indeed at the time of the Prisoner. Because what you are looking at are tennis courts, tennis courts which were eventually removed and relocated just outside Portmeirion, on the left as you are driving, or walking into Portmeirion along the drive. And that proved lucky for Patrick McGoohan, otherwise there would have been no parading around the pool and fountain as citizens do in the series. Also you will have observed that this postcard is pre Bristol Colonnade{Bandstand in the Prisoner}.
