No.6 "Across the square, across the street, up the steps, you can't miss it.'

Two village citizens pass by, giving the Village salute.
"It sounds like a salute."

"Could you take me there?"
"To the Green Dome, certainly."
They cross the square, and cross the street to the steps.
"Can I get a car here?"
"Taxis, local service only."
"Where will they take you?"
"Anywhere you like, just as long as you end up here in the end. That's why they're call local."
"Who are these people? Why are they here?"
"Why are you?"
They climb the steps together.
"Here we are, the Green Dome."
"Who is Number Two?"
"Who is Number One?"
The door to the Green Dome opens.
"I've done nothing wrong. I've committed no crime! All I did was resign!"
"No use telling me."
No.6 sounds like an old hand in the Village doesn't he? But just a minute.......No.2 told No.6 that Nadia Rakovsky had been brought to the village to recouperate. That she isn't all that important, and how he was surprised that they even sent here to the village. Nadia tells No.6 that all she did was to resign! So which is it?
