Pictorial Prisoner

Number 6 is helping Number Twenty-four {Alison} with her mind reading act, so that she is in time for the Village Festival. It appears that Number Six shares a mental link with Number Twenty-four. When was this mental link established? When and how did Number Six and Number Twenty-four meet? There is much that happens in the Prisoner that we, the viewer, do not see, the Village Festival for one.

Number Twenty-four betrayed Number six, but then everything they do in the Village is a betrayal, for example, how sure can we be that the events of The Schizoid Man actually began on Feb 10th? Yet given a second chance Number Twenty-four threw Numbr Six a chance of escape, even though there was no possibility of Alison escaping with him.

I don't think for one minute that Number Twenty-four was working for Number Two, its possible of course. But I'm of the opinion that Number Two saw this shared mental link, and so took advantage of it, and in doing so coerced Number Twenty-Four into betraying Number Six.
