   Yes that's right, well in No.6's dream anyway. In A B & C they get into No.6's dreams in order to discover the reason behind the Prisoner's resignation. Mrs. Butterworth appears briefly in No.6's third dream, becuase he put her in his dream. So surely this puts Many Happy Returns before A B & C in the Prisoner running order debate? Okay, you might argue that the character in A B & C who gives No.6 one of her earings and tells him "Number 6, I just know its your lucky number," is not the same character as Mrs. Butterworth. And that use of "Number 6, I just know its your lucky number," isn't this a case No.6 putting his words into her mouth?

    So think about it for a moment if you will. When you have a dream, don't you dream about, or put people you have previously met, have made acquaintance of, or know, in your dreams?

No.1 Married To Death?

    It would seem that the first wife of actor Roy Beck, who played the robe and masked figure of Number 1 in Fall Out, Ann doubled for the actress Justine Lord during the Beachy Head sequences.

   So you could say that Number 1 was married to death so to speak.
