    Last week Number 14 was an old woman in a wheelchair. This Number 14 is new in The Village, and she's one of them! Which would suggest that the bio-chemist Number 14 didn't develop her wonder drug in the laboratory in The Village, because surely a week wouldn't have been long enough. More probably Number 14 was brought to The Village because of the drug she has been developing, to be used on Number 6. And in that week Number 2 had Number 6's whole life researched and computed.
