Isn’t
that Number 2’s desk Number 8 is sitting at? We have seen the desk used by two
different mangers of the Labour Exchange in ‘Arrival’ and ‘Free For All,’ but
that’s understandable seeing as the set of the Manager’s office is adapted from
that of Number 2’s office, so why not make use the desk as well. But this is
the first time the desk is seen out of its domed domain, seeing as the desk is
probably not in the computer room in the previous episode of ‘Hammer Into
Anvil,’ its difficult to tell.

DeleteYes, nice one. You are right of course, and this is one item that dates The Village, a time before self-sealing envelopes. The gum on those types of envelopes was never nice tasting as I remember.
