I seem to have taken a wrong turning!
How the devil did I get here?
As it happens the two photographs were taken in the Village, but during the 1997 Prisoner Convention at Portmeirion. The pictures put me in mind of the 1969 novel 'The Prisoner: Who Is Number Two' by Hank Stine, in which No.2 has No.6's Lotus 7 brought to the Village in order to pacify No.6, to give him something to focus on and make him settle down to life in the Village. But No.6 has other ideas and turns his Lotus 7 into an amphibious craft in order to escape the Village!

Whose side are you on - do you drive in the Village? On the right side, of course. - BCNU!
ReplyDeleteHello Arno,
DeleteI'm on my side - and in the Village we drive more in the middle of the road!
Very kind regards
David

Ah, if you drive on your "own" side be careful! You could be take for a wrong-way driver and taken out of traffic by the Village highway guard. - BCNU!
ReplyDeleteHello Arno,
DeleteAnd there I was thinking that driving in the Village wouldn't be at all dangerous. Perhaps I'm better off taking the bus!
Vey kind regards
David
