In 'Arrival' from the moment the taxi arrives near the Free Information Board, to the moment the prisoner is dropped off by the General Store. Up and down, round and round. Taken the long way round, to arrive back here in the end. A taxi ride that could have been so much longer, yet longer would have become boring. Yet the out-takes of this scene do appear in other episodes.

Somewhere you raised the question as to why Number Six wouldn't have noticed he was driven the very same lane up and down, from the Green Dome to the statue of Hercules and back again. It's because this ride is for the TV viewers' eyes mainly. We're supposed to believe they were driving various streets and paths thereby carefully avoiding any signs of orientation, leaving the impression that the Village is much larger than it is in reality. -BCNU
